Arcoro’s Integrations Simplify and Accelerate HR Processes for Plumbing and HVAC Contractor

A Texas-based plumbing and HVAC contractor with major business
longevity – more than 50 years – was growing at a nice rate but its
outdated HR processes couldn’t keep up. While the contractor was focusing
on providing expert work and excellent customer service, it was neglecting
to automate the processes that managed its workforce, like tracking
employee hours and personal information on paper.

Challenge:

The HVAC contractor’s manual processes were putting added stress on
the office staff. Whenever changes needed to be made to an employee’s
HR information, administrators had to stop whatever they were doing to
complete the task. The tasks were both challenging and time consuming.
But automating the process via HR technology provided a solution.

Solution:

The company chose HR software modules that could quickly automate
its processes, while being compatible with Sage, something that was
extremely important to the company.

ExakTime/Sage 300 Integration

ExakTime is Arcoro’s digital time tracking solution, and the time and
attendance data stored in the system can be shared with Sage 300. For the
contractor, the integration matches Sage 300 time entries – Employee, Job
and JC Cost Code – with the corresponding fields in ExakTime to transfer
the data. Other important fields, like Certified Class, WC Code, Union
Department and advanced Pay IDs, can also be exported.

Core HR with Sage 300 Integration

Arcoro’s Core HR module also integrates with Sage 300. Employee data
stored in Core HR, like employee demographics, tax information, benefit
elections, direct deposits and employee compensation, is shared with Sage
300, eliminating redundant manual data entry and mistakes.
The employee portal gives workers the ability to view and change their
own information, like pay stubs, right from their phones, providing valuable
transparency while automating the processes. And employee data is
safeguarded because it’s restricted to approved users.
Core HR provided tremendous time savings, which was a huge return on
investment, saving hundreds of hours per year.

Benefits Management

Arcoro’s Benefits Management module simplified open enrollment and
benefits administration with configurable tools. And it helped the company
maintain ACA compliance with built-in reporting and notification features
and empowers employees with self-service coverage updates, personalized
profile pages and 24/7 access.
