BirdDogHR Supports AGC of America Charities to Benefit Warrior Canine Connection

DES MOINES, Iowa — September 25, 2018 — BirdDogHR™, the leader in talent management solutions for the construction, engineering and skilled trades industries, is excited to announce its new philanthropic partnership with AGC of America (AGC) and AGC Charities benefitting the Warrior Canine Connection (WCC). BirdDogHR has provided a financial donation to support WCC’s renovation of its Healing Quarters rehabilitation facilities.

In honor of its centennial year, AGC chose to support WCC with monetary and labor donations that will go towards the completion of its Healing Quarters. BirdDogHR was quick to join AGC in this philanthropic partnership. In 2014, AGC chose BirdDogHR as the preferred Affinity Program Provider in the talent management space because of its OFCCP and AAP reporting capabilities and job distribution to veteran-centric job boards that make veteran outreach an easy, compliant process for federal contractors.

“We are so grateful for BirdDogHR’s partnership and the generous support of WCC and our mission to serve wounded Veterans,” said Rick Yount, founder and executive director, Warrior Canine Connection. “The applicant tracking system supports veterans returning to work, so this partnership is a natural extension to their commitment of helping veterans live more independently.”

“So many of us are eternally grateful for the sacrifices each and every United States military veteran makes to serve our country,” said BirdDogHR CEO, Todd Skokan. “If there’s something we as an organization can do to make a positive impact on returning veterans, it’s our duty and honor to see it through. AGC and WCC are a powerful combination to make an impact on the lives of our wounded warriors.”

“BirdDogHR has been a great partner to AGC and we’re thrilled to have their support in this initiative,” said AGC Sr. Executive Director of Public Affairs, Brian Turmail. “They have gone above and beyond to support veterans returning to the workforce through their software, and this initiative solidifies their ongoing pledge to veterans.”

Ground broke on the WCC Healing Quarters in 2014 and is located within the beautiful natural setting of Seneca Creek State Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. Its 80-acre space will include several housing, training, medical and recreational facilities.

In an effort to provide continuous contributions to WCC, BirdDogHR integrated its corporate Amazon account with the AmazonSmile Foundation on behalf of WCC. With these connected accounts, 0.5 percent of eligible Amazon purchases made by BirdDogHR will be donated to WCC.

WCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on philanthropic contributions to make its work possible. To get involved, visit https://warriorcanineconnection.org/get-involved/donate/.
