BirdDogHR and AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter Join to Drive Career Seekers to Construction
DES MOINES, Iowa — September 6, 2018 — BirdDogHR™, the leader in talent-management solutions for the construction, engineering and skilled-trades industries, and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Oregon-Columbia Chapter today announced the creation of the Build-Oregon.com Work Now! careers page to promote construction jobs and training opportunities from Oregon and SW Washington contractors from one central location. The new Work Now! page is part of the Build-Oregon.com website, and offers an easy way for career seekers across Oregon and southwest Washington to locate and apply for jobs and training opportunities in the construction industry.
The new Work Now! page was launched on August 27, 2018. This is a no-fee service for AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter members that will help them meet the growing workforce challenges facing the industry and the state.
“The construction sector across Oregon and southwest Washington is booming. New projects are starting each week, the sector continues to add workers, and wages are steadily increasing. Despite these opportunities, contractors large and small are struggling to recruit the next generation of skilled and motivated workers,” said Yohn Baldwin, president of Baldwin General Contracting and chair of AGC’s Workforce Development Committee. “Build-Oregon.com and it’s Work Now! page will not only promote construction jobs and training pathways, but will connect interested job seekers to high-wage positions across the sector. For the first time, contractors have a job board dedicated to the building trades.”
