An EAP is an Employee Assistance Program. Many employers contract with EAP providers to offer employees support for assistance not covered by their health insurance in order to help them resolve issues that might interfere with work productivity, such as substance addiction, marital and family conflicts, workplace conflicts, financial troubles and more.
